CROWNS CATEGORY

                                   1. Metal Crown

ADVANTAGES:

  • Strong

  • Long Durability

  • Chipping resistant

  • Pocket-friendly

DISADVANTAGES:

  • Unnatural appearance

  • May interfere with M.R.I

            2. Porcelain Fused-to-Metal Crowns

                                         (PFM)

ADVANTAGES:

  • Satisfactory aesthetics

  • Long durability

  • Pocket-friendly

DISADVANTAGES:

  • Ceramic may chip off, in long run under high masticatory forces

  • More tooth reduction

  • May interfere with M.R.I

                   3. Ceramic/ZIRCONIA Crowns

ADVANTAGES:

  • Superb aesthetics

  • Minimal tooth reduction

  • Long durability

  • No interference with M.R.I. as METAL FREE

                   4. Bridge (Fixed Partial Denture)

  1. Quick procedure

  2. Long-lasting prosthesis

  3. Easy maintenance

  4. Available in

  •  All metal

  •  PFM

  •  All ceramic

                5. WE USE CADCAM AND DMLS

  • CAD/CAM (computer-aided-design and computer-aided-manufacturing) to improve the design and creation of Dental restorations,

  • CAD/CAM systems use an optical camera to take a virtual impression by creating a 3D image which is imported into a software program and results in a computer-generated cast on which the restoration is designed

  • BEST ACCURACY == FINE MARGINS==NO GAP ==NO LEAKAGE

                                     6. DMLS

  • Direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) is one of the few 3D printing technologies that directly create a metal part from its 3D computer model. This process is an advancement of powder metallurgy (PM), a mature metal-molding technology that uses heat and pressure to form powdered metal parts.

  • Smaller metal particle size and less variation allow better resolution.

  • BETTER MARGINS OF CROWN WITH MINIMAL LEAKAGE

Dental Implant vs Fixed Bridge

Confusion ??

What to do ??

Is implant process painful surgery ??

Cost ?? & Life ??

Solution to all the queries-

  2. Leakage/ Fracture of prosthesis.
  3. Adjacent teeth may require R.C.T .
  4. Cannot be used if there is no tooth behind missing teeth for support.

DENTAL IMPLANT

It in a method to replace teeth using titanium screw and ceramic material.

  • ADVANTAGE:-

Demystifying Scaling (Tooth Cleaning)

Our Teeth are subjected to lot of beverages ,food and other
chemical substances. This lead to deposition of various kind of
stains on it. Some stains are external while some stains percolates
through micro-cracks in teeth and become internal stains

External stains: Tea, coffee tobacco food products etc
Internal stains: Medicines , systemic diseases

Scaling process :
Scaling involves removal of these stains using ultrasonic scalers
with water spray but this only causes removal of external
stains. This causes less sensitivity and pain. Scaling usually is
advised once a year. Scaling is a simple painless process and helps in maintaining a good oral hygiene.
